Why are they dancing?

Why are some of our community's most admired leaders dancing their hearts out? They've been inspired by the dedication to quality, innovation, and service that they've seen since our local hospital became part of the MemorialCare family. Last year's event helped purchase critical cardiac equipment for the hospital and for the new cardiac rehab center in Talega. And this year, we've set the goal even higher. With each dollar these dedicated dancers raise, they'll help expand these capabilities to ensure that South County heart patients have access to cutting edge care.

The dancers this year will be dancing for equipment such as anUltrasound Machine for Emergency Services which provides the physicians the ability to scan and insert central venous lines as well as rule out aneurysm upon arrival to ED, a Peripheral Vascular Site Rite 6 for placement of IV catheters in critically ill and medically compromised patients and 15 Lead EKG (Tracemaster) Machines with portable carts for ease of movement.

The inaugural Dancing to a New Beat raised money to purchase state-of-the-art equipment which included: Nu Step Cardiac Rehab Equipment Fitness Crosstrainer, Ergonometer, Heart Smart Monitors, Vital Sign Transport Monitor 3 Warming Cabinets - for Emergency Department, Med/Surg and ICU plus Sunoptics Solarmaxx 300 Headlights for physicians in surgery.
