Dave Peter

A lot of San Clemente women can attest to Dave Peter's dance credentials. When left-footed husbands strand a gal with a tapping foot at local events, Dave is always there to lead her in his own special version of the swing. He just can't pass up a chance to jitterbug. Their husband's loss is his gain.

Of course, his favorite partner is still his wife of 26 years, Marcy. And, whenever her flight attendant schedule will allow, you'll find them cutting a rug together.

In the 80s, his inimitable style caught the eye of a Western dance instructor. She recruited Dave and soon the two were teaching the Swing across Orange County. But, he admits, he's never had formal training, and as long as his DTNB professional partner doesn't try to remold him, he welcomes the opportunity to polish his style. And, he admits he's "extremely competitive" so the chance to vie for the trophy also piques his interest.

Dave is also a well-known supporter of local causes. His reason for supporting our local hospital: "For quality of life." Having raised four active kids, he's rushed to the ER a few more times than he can recall. He also knows how important early intervention can be for cardiac patients.

Dave grew up locally-born on Camp Pendleton-and he and two of his brothers operate Peter Drilling and Contracting and Peter & Associates Engineering, Geology, Surveying.
